Leg Lifter Strap

A long strap that a leg can be looped into to be help lift it. Great for people that have good upper body strength, but difficulty lifting their lower body into bed. Commonly used after a hip surgery.

Advantages

  • Allows a person with good upper body strength to pull their weaker leg or legs up onto a higher surface such as a bed, wheelchair footplate, over a bathtub edge, etc.
  • allows one to have greater independence

Disadvantages

  • Need a considerable amount of upper body strength to be able to manipulate the strap and lift one’s leg or legs
