A stretchy band that has resistive properties which is commonly used for strengthening and endurance building. A common tool used for rehabilitation following injury or illness with different colored bands offering differing amounts of resistance.
Advantages
- bands can be cut with scissors as needed to make any length depending on its use
- different colors offer different resistance levels. This allows you to tailor one’s rehab with more difficult or less difficult exercises
Disadvantages
- bands can wear out over time and need to be replaced
- a stretched band can snap back and result an injury
